Our Music Values and Goals

The Music Ministry has adopted these statements as our Values:
	We believe that music is a form of prayer.

	We believe that music is based on a love of the triune God and His Church.

	We believe that music in worship is scripturally sound and offered as a gift of praise to God.

	We believe that music in worship is to be presented with a high level of excellence.

	We believe the art of music positively influences the lives of children, youth and adults.

The Music Ministry has adopted these statements as our Goals:

	Teach spiritual values through selections containing fundamentals of the Christian faith.

	Experience the joy of reverent worship through participation in the services of the church.

	Provide opportunities for education and service throughout the church and community.

	Foster an environment for the teaching and use of correct musical techniques.

	Enhance music appreciation and knowledge using those compositions which have historically sustained and nurtured the community of faith.

	Foster cooperation and a sense of self-discipline.

	Create opportunities to share the great music of the church with the people of Flint and Genesee County.

	Allow people to serve the church in a stewardship of time and talent.
