Youth at FPCF

WELCOME TO THE PIPE

The PIPE youth ministry at FPCF is a safe place in which to discuss relevant issues of faith. We provide a safe environment in which to ask questions about faith, discover your unique qualities as a follower of Christ, and grow in friendship with other students.

Follow us on Instagram and Facebook to stay up to date on what we’re up to! :)

Meet Our Director of Youth Ministries: Kira

Hi! My name is Kira Nieman and I am the Director of Youth Ministries here at FPCF! I am from Southern California and graduated in 2023 from Azusa Pacific University with a degree in Christian Ministries with minors in Biblical Studies and Psychology. I am passionate about loving and fostering students as they grow and discover the strengths and passions that God has given them. If you see me around, say hi! I would love to meet you!

Sunday Mornings

Worship

Each Sunday is an opportunity to join this family of faith in authentic worship at 10:30a. We join together with families throughout the area to worship God through prayer, teaching, and singing. Our students typically sit together, as we experience the value of multigenerational worship in our beautiful community! New students are welcome to join us or sit with their family!

Faith Formation

Before Service, students have the opportunity to hang out in the Pipe! During that time, we complete service projects, talk more about questions that we have about God, and continue to get to know one another! Join us at 9:30a.

Confirmation

Confirmation is an opportunity for students to learn more about what it means to be a follower of Christ and a Presbyterian, and ultimately join our church as a member! Typically, Confirmation is geared towards 7th/8th grade students, however all are welcomed if they have not had the opportunity to make this public declaration of their faith! We are shifting the way we have structured Confirmation in the past, so stay tuned for more information! Or reach out to Kira directly!

Sunday Evening PIPE

We currently are on Summer Schedule for Pipe! Pipe dates are June 23rd, July 7th, August 4th, and August 18th from 6p-8p. Reach out to Kira through email or text for location and other details!

You may be asking what happens at Pipe! Pipe is a safe gathering for students in 7th-12th grade. Pipe takes place on Sundays from 4p-6p and includes time for fellowship, community building games, a lesson to deepen our faith, and small group time to further relationships and learn from one another. Join us!

Ministry Opportunities, Trips, and Events

Pipe has many different types of activities during the year in edition to our typical Sunday Night Youth Group! In Summer 2024, we have many exciting things for students to be apart of.

July 11th - Top Golf! We will meet in the FPCF parking lot at 6p and carpool to Top Golf! Cost is $25 per person, but please let Kira know if cost is prohibitive and we will work something out!

July 16th - Beach Day! Check Facebook for more information leading up to the event. The event will be from 11a-3p. Cost is $10 per person.

August 7th - Cedar Point! We will meet in the FPCF parking lot at 7am and carpool to Cedar Point. The goal is to arrive back around 10p. Cost is $40 per person. Please reach out to Kira if cost is an issue!

August 14th - Baseball Game! Check Facebook for details!

PLEASE NOTE: If under 18, for all trips, events, and activities that take place away from the church, there must be a medical release and parental activity form on file. Thank you!

PIPE Leadership Team

There would be no Pipe without our incredible leaders! If you are feeling called to get involved with youth ministry in any capacity, or would simply like to start a conversation about what that would look like, please reach out to Kira. We would love to have you! Shoot her an email at knieman@fpcf.org :)
